Helen Hitchcock 

 

Helen Hitchcock is a well qualified violin and viola teacher with over 20 years of experience. She is accredited by the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership to teach in the school your child attends.

Helen can give your child an excellent start in string playing and has coached her pupils up to grade 5 and grade 8 standard, prepared students for GCSE and A -level music performances, assessed candidates for Duke of Edinburgh awards, successfully had pupils audition for county and regional standard groups and is an enthusiastic supporter of her students joining ensembles.

Helen is an experienced performer on the violin, playing professionally for musical productions,and for weddings and business events in many different styles. She has also been a member of the Derby Concert Orchestra, Derby Chamber Orchestra and currently leads the J26 Orchestra.
